Well surprise surprise, almost the entirety of the class gathers there news from over the internet; or Snapple bottles in one case. However, this finding is not surprising in the least. The pattern was almost too easy to see. The most commonly used sources for news are New York Times and Yahoo news like places. Personally, as someone who enjoys reading a newspaper, I found it almost saddening that many people don’t utilize print news sources. But, it is understandable with more and more newspapers being available online. It was also very nice to see that people are not just relying on the 24 hour news networks/ their respective websites. Sources like Foxnews, MSNBC, and CNN are almost always bias towards their respective parties (republican demarcate). When people only look at these they can often have a more closed minded view of the issues.
We as a whole class are a perfect case study of our generation. We have adopted the new technology and integrated it with the only way of getting information; print news and radio broadcasts have turned into online news and video clips. This is not a bad thing, but it is changing the media as we know it.
I actually have overlooked the fact that we are a "perfect case study of our generation." We are an adequate representation of our generation.
